Who We Are
Leadership
Hoon & Shelly, Lead Pastor
Shelly and I lead the planting efforts of Anthem Church. I (Hoon) grew up in Italy and came to know Jesus at Lehigh University. I envision a church where people discover the love of God, the fulness of life and joy in community. I (Shelly) hail from Philadelphia and am a diehard Eagles, Sixers and Phillies fan. We’ve been married for 17 years and have three boys, Sean, Liam and Colin.

Hello! My name is Adel and I live in North Brunswick with my husband Josh, our two boys and two dogs. I’m the marketing director for an IT company and bring my passion for leadership, creativity and communications to Anthem. I love a good challenge, a philosophical conversation and helping people discover how God is working in their lives.

My name is Segun and I lead the worship team at Anthem. My passions include spending time with my family, Arsenal FC and developoing artificial intelligence so that machines can one day, take over the world. I am the proud father to Orin, and my wife Linda and I are joyfully expecting another child in September.

I am a professional audio engineer and for the last 13 years, have found my calling in assisting churches and church plants craft beauty and excellence through technology. I enjoy working with tools, coding, fixing and crafting worship experiences that lead people to intimacy with God.

Originally from Peru, I live in Franklin Twp with my wife Haydee and our 3 kids Bryan (22), Tabatha (16) and Dereck(13). It’s my pleasure to lead the Welcoming Team at Anthem. My passions include missions, home improvement, and classic cars. I’m a STEM Engineering Technology Teacher in New Brunswick and my favorite verse is Joshua 1:9 “Have I not commanded you? Be strong and courageous. Do not be afraid; do not be discouraged, for the Lord your God will be with you wherever you go”.

My name is Evan Gentry and I live in North Brunswick with my wife, 2 kids and a growing collection of animals. I lead the Finance team and steward and enjoy woodworking, camping and home improvement projects.

I hail from the great Midwest, which explains my gift for small talk and love for casseroles. Through these I have found my calling in the Hospitality team and through my husband Segun, am an honorary member of the Worship Team. When not at church, you can find me at Rutgers, where I do research in the field of clinical psychology.
